The Grand Hotel Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden was built by August the Saxon King in the eighteenth century to show his love for his mistress. It was faithfully restored in 1995 to its former glory. You can find it right next to the oldest Christmas market in the world, "Striezelmarkt." It is in the middle of the historic city center of Dresden. From November to January, the 500-square-foot courtyards of the Hotel have their Ice Rink, which you can use. This Hotel, built by August the Strong in the 18th century, has been completely renovated recently. The Kempinski Taschenbergpalais is a mix of baroque style and contemporary elegance. The Lobby

The Hotel was built in 1705 as a palace for Anna Constanze von Hoym, the wife of the Count of Hoym. The building was destroyed during the Second World War and rebuilt.
